Are we truly living in an age where seeing is no longer believing? The proliferation of "deepfake" technology, creating hyper-realistic but entirely fabricated media, has cast a long shadow over the internet, and the entertainment industry, with devastating impacts on public figures.

The latest celebrity to find themselves ensnared by this digital manipulation is Nora Fatehi, as she revealed on her Instagram stories. While promoting a fashion brand, showcasing flawless replication of her appearance and mannerisms, the underlying reality of the technology creates a chilling effect.

Actress Alia Bhatt has also been targeted, with a video circulating that shows a woman bearing her likeness performing obscene gestures. The ease with which these fabrications are created and disseminated, coupled with their disturbing realism, has sent shockwaves across the industry and beyond.

Other prominent figures, including actress Katrina Kaif, have also been targeted. The implications are deeply troubling, not only for those directly affected, but also for the public at large, who must now navigate a digital landscape where authenticity is constantly under assault.

With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), it is increasingly difficult to distinguish between real and fake content. This is as the technology becomes more sophisticated. It is becoming more difficult for even the most discerning viewers to discern the truth.

The rise of AI has also led to an increase in searches for "celebrity deepfakes", along with more specific queries such as "Ariana Grande deepfakes" or "Scarlett Johansson deepfakes." This interest shows the public's awareness of the problem, and their curiosity to know more.
